ICT my final examination



1.      5 standard applications of internet that can be used for education:  e-mail, mailing list(milis), newsgroup, file transfer protocol (FTP),  and World Wide Web (WWW).

2.      Web course:
· All learning materials, discussion, consultation, assignments, exercises and exams delivered entirely over the internet
· Students and teachers are separated
· The relationship between student and teacher communication can be done at any time by using the internet
Web centric course:
· Teaching materials, discussion, consultation, assignment, training delivered via the Internet
· Examination and some consultations, discussions and exercises conducted in face to face
· Percentage of face to face is smaller than the percentage of  learning via Internet
Web enhanced course, the use of the Internet to support teaching and learning activities face to face.
· Some learning materials are provided on the Internet by providing links (links) to various other learning resources that can be accessed online
· Serves to improve the quantity and quality of interaction between faculty and students goals
· Utilization of the Internet precedence for the purpose of the assignment, discussion, consultation, or for group work
3.      The initial purpose of the implementation of education is to acquire the skills of reading, writing and arithmetic. In the implementation of its students are directed to recall and repeat what he gets. But in line, with the development of science and technology in the 21st century paradigm of the educational goals changed to develop problem solving skills, search problems, implementation and dissemination issues. In practice students are directed to seek out and utilize the knowledge gained. Here the examples of the change of teaching learning paradigm:
· From Teacher-centered instruction to Students-centered instruction
· From Single-sense stimulation to Multisensory stimulation
· From Single-path progression to Multi-path progression
· From Single media to Multimedia

5.    a)  E-learning is a process of learning is delivered via computer (including CD-ROM, Internet, intranet) that is designed to support its goal of individual learning or organizational performance. E-leraning also called Web-based delivery. It's provides opportunities for learning anytime, anywhere. It provides access to a wealth of resources and new forms of communication and virtual communities.
E-Learning is a learning process that: Using the full power of the internet, Providing connectivity and collaboration, Personalized access, Wide range of content, Synchronous and asynchronous learning, A knowledge and information infrastructure.

b) Distance learning is a set of methods of teaching where teaching activities carried       out separately from the learning activities.Separating the two activities may be either physical distance, such as teaching participants residing far away from the location of educational institutions. Activity that is separated from teaching and learning activities is a typical characteristic of distance education.

c) Computer conferencing is a dialogue (text based) via a computer network with an asynchronous mode (asynchronous /delayed). As we know that there are two modes of communication through computer networks:
- Synchronous: chat, video conferencing.
- Asynchronous: computer conferencing.
